Job Description
Location: New Dundee
- Senior Data Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Snowflake‑based data environments
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and data solutions within Snowflake
- Deep expertise with Snowflake features including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Dynamic Tables
- Advanced SQL development skills for data transformation, analytics, and performance tuning
- Experience delivering production‑grade ETL/ELT pipelines in enterprise environments
- Strong focus on new development (approx. 80%) with limited production support responsibilities
- Experience supporting data ingestion and orchestration workflows using platform‑native tools
- Proven ability to optimize Snowflake performance
, including query tuning, clustering, and search optimization
- Exposure to CI/CD implementation within data engineering or Snowflake environments
- Experience working within cloud ecosystems (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable)
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced, contract environment
- Strong collaboration skills across business, analytics, and technical stakeholder groups
- Exposure to Gen AI capabilities within Snowflake (e.g., Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search) is an asset
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) and/or BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
- Snowflake certifications (Advanced/Specialty) and/or Python experience considered strong assets
