As a Front-End JavaScript React Developer at Munyongo, your primary role will involve working in a team of engineers to deliver user interfaces within larger software applications. The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Prepare prototypes based on UI/UX wireframes, designs, markups, and styling for approval from senior engineers and/or clients
- Develop, test, document, deploy, operate, and maintain front-end JavaScript web applications
- Ensure well-executed data governance and compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Implement application monitoring functionality to gather feedback for improving application reliability and performance
- Collaborate with mobile application developers to standardize user experiences across platforms
In terms of technical skills, you are required to have proficiency at an advanced level in:
- JavaScript, React, Redux, Express, Node, NVM/NPM, HTML5, CSS, SASS/SCSS, Twitter Bootstrap, WebSocket, and NGINX
- Integrating front-end applications with data platforms and back-end REST APIs
Preferred technical skills include:
- Working knowledge of server-side rendering or static generation processes with Next
- gRPC, asynchronous request handling, and partial page updates
- React Native and mobile application development
Qualifications and experience needed for this role are:
- Degree or certification in a mathematical, scientific, engineering, or associated interdisciplinary field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of professional front-end development experience with React and JavaScript
