THE JOB
We currently have an opening for a Graphic Designer in our Creative Content team. At MHS, we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. Our graphic designers take concepts and ideas and create visual representations in print and digital media. Our graphic designers have expert knowledge of current design software and are skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer can take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. Our graphic designers have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing and can find the right style and layout for every project while maintaining the MHS brand and our brand standards.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and deliver visual assets across a range of materials, including digital and print marketing collateral, presentations, advertisements, web assets, signage, and branded templates.
- Translate strategic objectives, creative briefs, and complex concepts into clear, compelling, and high-quality visual designs that align with established brand guidelines and business goals.
- Design and execute work across multiple formats and platforms, leveraging industry-standard design tools to produce polished, production-ready assets that support marketing, product, and corporate initiatives.
- Incorporate feedback from managers and stakeholders to refine designs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, brand compliance, and alignment with MHS standards and audience expectations.
- Develop original design concepts by applying best practices in layout, typography, color, imagery, and visual hierarchy to communicate ideas effectively and professionally.
- Manage design files and project deliverables throughout the production lifecycle, including preparation, optimization, and upload of assets within content management systems or internal platforms.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices while applying sound judgment to ensure designs remain appropriate for regulated, research-driven, and professional audiences.
- Apply accessibility and usability best practices to ensure designs are inclusive and presentation-ready for diverse audiences.
- Organize, update, and maintain digital asset libraries and internal design databases to ensure accessibility, version control, and efficient reuse of creative materials.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills.
- 5 or more years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.
- Understanding of color psychology, color harmonies, and the ability to choose and combine colors effectively in designs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with the requirements and specifications for both print and digital mediums, including designing for websites, social media, and print collateral.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to analyze design challenges and find creative solutions while considering technical constraints.
- Desire to continue building skill set with education and training.
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per annum
