Summary: The Learning and Development Team is responsible for conducting new hire orientation and assessments, managing the training portal, and maintaining process manuals for all BPO teams. The team also coordinates cross-trainings, refresher sessions, and product-specific training programs. Additional responsibilities include content development for internal platforms, maintaining key business resources, collaborating with the IT team to enhance applications, and performing other duties as required to support continuous learning and operational excellence.
Role & responsibilities
1. Lead and mentor a team of instructional designers, providing coaching, guidance, and support to enhance their skills and professional development.
2. Establish clear objectives and set expectations for the instructional design team, ensuring alignment with business goals and L&D strategies.
3. Manage the day-to-day operations of the instructional design team, overseeing project timelines, quality of deliverables, and adherence to instructional design best practices.
4. Act as the primary point of contact for instructional design-related projects, maintaining clear
communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Utilize strong project management skills to allocate resources, set priorities, handle roadblocks effectively, and partner with the US L&D team and stakeholders to conduct training needs assessments and identify learning gaps.
6. Develop and implement an instructional design strategy that supports the organization's learning objectives, using design models such as ADDIE or SAM.
7. Guide the team in designing and developing engaging and impactful learning programs across various modalities, including eLearning, virtual training, instructor-led training, and blended learning approaches.
8. Oversee the end-to-end development of training content, including storyboarding, scripting, and production of digital learning assets such as eLearning modules, videos, and simulations.
9. Recommend and incorporate cutting-edge technologies and tools, such as authoring software, interactive learning platforms, AI-based learning solutions, and demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Qualifications & Experience required
1. Bachelor's degree in any field (master's degree preferred).
2. 5-7 years of experience in instructional design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
3. Demonstrated expertise in creating a variety of learning content, such as eLearning, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
4. Profound content creation skills with experience in developing and delivering training programs.
5. Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, learning theories, and models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
6. Hands-on experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), video editing software, and multimedia tools.
7. Expertise in a variety of learning methodologies, including instructor-led training, eLearning & blended learning.
8. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
11. Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
