Network Engineer It (Chennai)

Role Overview:

As a Network Engineer specializing in network and firewall security operations, you will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and IPsec VPN tunnels. Your expertise in routing, switching, and firewall technologies will be crucial in supporting various environments and managing security policies to prevent threats. In this role, you will play a key part in performing TCP/IP packet analysis, participating in firmware upgrades, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot network infrastructure & IPsec VPN tunnels
• Support Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet, and Aruba environments
• Manage firewall security policies & threat prevention
• Perform TCP/IP packet analysis (Wireshark/TCP dump)
• Participate in firmware upgrades, security hardening & infrastructure initiatives
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Qualification Required:

• Solid knowledge of OSI & TCP/IP models
• Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS
• Switching: VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRF, VSS
• Firewalls: Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto (DNS Security, Global Protect, Panorama, Wildfire), Fortinet
• VPN: IPsec Site-to-Site & Remote Access
• Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, MRTG

• Location: Chennai/Bangalore
• Work Mode: 5 days in a week, work from Office
