One of the top e-commerce powerhouse companies is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team! This role supports large-scale control engineering and automation projects tied to global fulfillment and logistics operations. This is a highly cross-functional position where you will work alongside internal engineering teams, project managers, and external vendors to deliver complex systems involving robotics, data management, and precision conveyance. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and comfortable operating in a project-driven environment, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of scalable solutions.
Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract with the opportunity for extension or conversion
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related discipline
- 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, controls engineering, or related field
- Hands-on experience working with Linux or QNX platforms
- Strong understanding of industrial networking (Profibus, ASi, Industrial Ethernet) and Ethernet networking concepts
- Experience developing automated alarms, reporting, and KPI metrics for plant or operations environments
- Experience working with vendors and managing cross-functional engineering efforts
- Experience in program or project management within technical environments
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Support large-scale control engineering projects tied to global equipment deployments
- Partner with project managers and vendors to define priorities, establish milestones, and drive project schedules
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
- Participate in design reviews including equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout
- Review and influence technical documentation; perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement solutions
- Represent system and equipment designs to stakeholders, providing clear status updates and technical insights
- Build strong relationships with Fulfillment Center leadership, operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to support operational efficiency
- Support coordination and execution across internal teams and external vendors
- Participate in daily standups and maintain strong team engagement
