MORSE is searching for candidates with experience building electro-mechanical systems and testing with a particular focus on electronics and electrical components. This position will be onsite in our Cambridge lab and office.&nbsp;</p> <h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Contribute to the development of aerial vehicle components, sub-systems and systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Perform modifications to a COTS airframe to incorporate custom avionics and payloads</p> </li> <li> <p>Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) on hardware or feed back assembly/fab issues to engineers.</p> </li> <li> <p>Perform electrical tests for functionality and continuity.</p> </li> <li> <p>Inspect assemblies, PCBs, harnesses for defects and compliance with good workmanship practices.</p> </li> <li> <p>Perform visual/microscope inspection and rework of PCBs with SMT components. Remove and replace through-hole and SMT components using hot air tools</p> </li> <li> <p>Assemble, prototype, fabricate, test, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct functional tests and operational checks following assembly or repair to verify proper system functionality and performance</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Requirements:&nbsp;</h3> <ul> <li> <p>US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to work in a rapidly-changing R&amp;D environment</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to follow detailed fabrication processes of complex prototypes to high degree of quality and accuracy&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Capable of following technical diagrams and schematics to fabricate and/or route wire harnesses, routing, and termination (crimping, soldering) using various connector types, crimps or soldering.</p> <p>Experienced in operations such as stripping, crimping, termination and labeling of wires and cables.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with electrical debug &amp; fault isolation using basic electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, isolation testers)</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in the fabrication of mechanical and electrical systems using commonly used techniques and tools,</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to identify issues, communicate them and work with engineers to develop solutions</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>MORSE Corp’s salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.</p> <p><span data-teams="true">Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an “open” leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specific&nbsp;number of paid sick or vacation days.
