Wealth Management (WM) Platforms manages industry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of ten sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow, Digital Trading & Investing, Generative AI, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution, WM Platforms Risk, and the Chief Operating Office.

Through its category-leading technology and innovative approach, EquityZen delivers data-driven insights and tools that empower its 800,000 users to navigate the private markets with confidence.  Having completed more than 51,000 private placements in nearly 500 private companies, EquityZen is on a mission to deliver “Private Markets for the Public.” EquityZen is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Vice President, Platforms to join our growing team.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Responsible for working on complicated, complex, and time-sensitive initiatives that help push the EquityZen platform forward.

  • Focus on user experience by partnering directly with design and engineering teams to build accessible, user-centric products.

  • Work closely with senior product leadership to aid in the execution of the company roadmap.

  • Write detailed specs and business-facing documentation, manage project execution, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), A/B test, wireframe, and define product roll-out strategies.

  • Provide support for platform incidents and training for impending releases.

  • Develop meticulous technical and external-facing documentation, including API specifications and integration guides, to support seamless internal development.

  • Process, review, and interpret large bodies of qualitative data, quantitative data, and macro business trends to uncover new insights and iterate on original ideas.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure the timely delivery of releases and products in a lean, agile environment.

  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Compliance, and other internal teams to collect feedback and inform current and future product stories and enhancements.


Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably at a technology startup, with a track record of shipping complex products in a lean and agile organization.

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with a concentration in Technology, Finance, or Economics.

  • Previous experience in Fintech, Wealthtech, private markets, or a highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience working directly with senior leadership to translate company vision into actionable product roadmaps.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the entire product lifecycle—from ideation and writing detailed specs to project execution and defining go-to-market strategies.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, ability to wireframe, and professional experience partnering directly with engineering and UI/UX design teams.

  • A creative problem solver who is highly analytical, able to incorporate quantitative data, qualitative insights, and macro business trends to pivot and iterate on original ideas.

  • Hands-on experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests to drive adoption and engagement, utilizing analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics, SQL).

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
