Line Cook – Southeast Asian Cuisine (Lao, Thai, Vietnamese)

Eat A Lao is looking for a skilled, reliable, and food-loving Line Cook to join our growing culinary family! We bring the vibrant, fiery, and comforting flavors of Laotian, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisines to our community. If you have solid knife skills, thrive under pressure, and want to cook diverse Southeast Asian food that makes people excited, we want you on our line.What You Will Do

  • Execute the Menu: Prepare and cook authentic Laotian, Thai, and Vietnamese dishes according to our precise recipes.
  • Master the Plating: Memorize exact ingredients and presentation settings for consistent, beautiful plates across all three cuisines.
  • Manage Your Station: Set up, prep, stock, and break down your cooking station efficiently.
  • Ensure Quality: Maintain high standards of food presentation, portion control, and temperature.
  • Adapt on the Fly: Stay flexible and adapt quickly to changing situations and fast ticket rushes during service.
  • Prioritize Safety: Follow all food health and safety regulations, keeping a clean and sanitized workspace.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a line cook or prep cook. Experience in Asian cuisine is a major plus!
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read and understand food order tickets in English. Being able to speak Spanish, Thai, or Lao as a first or second language is a huge plus!
  • Stamina & Kitchen Resilience: Proven ability to withstand heat in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment.
  • Memory & Detail: Strong memory to remember ingredient specifications and plating setups perfectly.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Schedule: Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holiday shifts.
