 A day in the life: 

As the Formula Governance Manager, you will oversee all regulatory and brand specifications for raw materials and formulas, partnering with Regulatory and Quality Assurance (QA) to define requirements for new projects within the formula-development pipeline and ensure that specifications are developed and maintained in SAP- Product Lifecycle Management (SAP-PLM) to ensure accurate, consistent, and efficient issuance. Serve as the subject-matter expert for all formula-specification workflows in tools such as SAP- PLM, Smartsheets and act as a key project-management liaison to the Program Management team, enabling strong cross-functional alignment and execution. Responsible for ensuring all ready to drink research and development (R&D) formulas adhere to the country
of production and country of sale regulations and commercial restrictions as specified in the formula specification document initially provided to the flavor house.

The impact you'll make:

  • Project leadership to develop formula specifications for worldwide formulas in collaboration with the Regulatory teams and program managers.
  • Database management of proprietary raw material specifications in order to provide accurate formula and nutritional information as part of the compliance program.
  • Lead SAP-PLM raw-material setup for commodity ingredients, collaborating with QA to maintain global compliance governance across all materials sourced by Monster.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise in the raw-material specification management system, driving process improvements through strong mastery of Smartsheet project-management tools and SAP-PLM workflows.
  • Oversee and stay current on global regulatory and business constraints captured in SAP-PLM Monster Energy’s formula governance program, providing reporting and insights that enable strategic formulation planning grounded in a comprehensive understanding of both regulatory requirements and the global supply chain.
  • Project manage interactions with the local flavor house regulatory team to obtain additional documents required for formula compliance approval. Partner with the regional regulatory teams to ensure that R&D formulas comply with country of production and sale regulations and commercial restrictions.

Who you are:

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Chemistry, Nutrition, Food Science, Regulatory Science or related field of study
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in technical roles (Quality and R&D) with a proven record of an understanding of ingredient, formulations, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in raw material and formula document specification management in food and beverage industry, preferably in a regulatory function.
  • Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, PLM systems, SAP experience

$88,000$113,000 USD
