About the Role
Monks is looking for a Freelance Language and Culture Project Manager for 3-4 weeks. You will collaborate with and support a Senior Language & Culture Manager to deliver high-quality transcreation and voiceover projects across multiple markets. In the agency world, this role is often called a Transcreation Manager, but it encompasses much more! You will play an active, hands-on role in ensuring seamless delivery of locally relevant, on-brand creative copy while embracing innovative, AI-first approaches.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day transcreation, cultural consultation, copywriting, and voiceover projects across various global markets.
- Receive and action incoming briefs, set up project timings, define costs, and assign tasks to external vendors and linguists.
- Track project budgets, status, and financial reporting accurately from brief to delivery.
- Maintain and develop strong, positive relationships with internal teams, clients, and external linguists.
- Perform quality checks, manage feedback and amendment requests, and handle administrative duties including purchase orders and invoicing.
- Contribute to team-wide solutions and stay engaged with emerging localisation best practices and AI-first technologies.
About You
The essentials:
- 3+ years of experience in translation, transcreation, and voiceover project management.
- Hands-on experience with language service workflows, vendor management, and industry best practices.
- Background in localising marketing campaigns across multiple countries, channels, and media types.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with close attention to detail.
- Sharp, clear, and confident communication skills.
Not a must, but a plus:
- Passion for or up-to-date knowledge of recent AI developments in translation, copywriting, and AI voiceover.
- Familiarity with CAT tools, Translation Management Systems (TMS), or project management software.
- Fluency or working knowledge of additional languages.
- Understanding of digital production processes and cross-functional adaptation workflows
