Job Description

Seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong Snowflake and Power BI expertise to design scalable data solutions and build advanced operational reporting.

The client is migrating reporting from Business Objects on Oracle to Snowflake and Power BI and needs an experienced developer who can rebuild complex reports and establish scalable reporting structures. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Power BI, comfortable working in Snowflake to create tables and views, and able to translate reporting requirements into operational dashboards quickly.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and dashboards using Power BI
• Recreate existing reports as the organization migrates from Business Objects/Oracle to Snowflake and Power BI
• Create and manage tables, views, and data structures within Snowflake
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support analytics and operational reporting
• Analyze existing reporting logic and translate business requirements into BI solutions
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to validate reporting accuracy
• Help establish best practices for BI reporting and development
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with a cross-functional team

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in data reporting, BI, or analytics roles
• Strong Power BI experience building complex dashboards and reports from scratch
• Hands-on Snowflake experience (querying data, creating tables and views)
• Advanced SQL and strong analytical skills
• Experience working with Business Objects reporting environments
• Ability to translate business data needs into reporting solutions

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience migrating reports from Business Objects to Power BI
• Financial services industry experience
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
