Shopper Marketing Manager (FTC 1 Year) - Grenade

The Customer Marketing Manager Canada supports the development and execution of shopper marketing strategies and campaigns to drive sales and brand engagement at the point of purchase. This role assists in translating brand objectives into effective in‑store and online shopper programs, collaborating with sales, brand, and agency teams to achieve commercial targets.

How you will contribute

  • Plan and execute comprehensive customer marketing strategies, both in‑store and online, to increase brand awareness, trial and loyalty with shoppers.
  • Work closely with the Grenade brand team to ensure the trade‑facing customer marketing plans are aligned to the overall brand messaging and executed with excellence for each specific retailer.
  • Serve as the front‑line marketing contact for key customers and collaborate with external media agencies to develop joint marketing plans that drive in‑store visibility on‑ and off‑shelf.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies to create compelling marketing collateral, POS materials, and sales tools that support retail activation and enhance brand presence.
  • Collaborate with category, product, and brand marketing teams to create impactful sell‑in stories and customer presentations that support NPD launches and drive distribution and rate of sale.
  • Identify shopper insights, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform customer marketing strategies and optimise campaign effectiveness in‑store.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, sales data, and market trends to evaluate ROI and identify areas for optimisation.
  • Responsible for managing the customer marketing budget for your specific area, reviewing activities continually to ensure a return on investment.

What you will bring

  • Experience in FMCG customer marketing.
  • Demonstrated collaborative working with internal and external partners.
  • Experience across varied retail channels is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of marketing fundamentals, consumer behaviour and retail environments.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to collect, interpret and present data effectively; proficiency in Excel.
  • Project management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to managing campaign elements, data, and budgets.
