We are looking for a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Palo Alto expertise (PCNSE preferred) to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud network infrastructures across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

Role Overview

As a Network Security Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure network architectures across cloud and hybrid environments, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Palo Alto Networks security solutions .

You will collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and security operations teams to ensure that all network infrastructure meets enterprise security standards and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security architecture, firewall management, cloud networking, zero-trust security, and threat detection .

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Network Security Architecture

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
• Implement Zero Trust networking models and micro-segmentation strategies.
• Configure and manage VPCs, subnets, routing, private service access, and network policies in GCP.
• Ensure secure communication across services using TLS, VPNs, and private connectivity .

Palo Alto Security Engineering

• Deploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Implement and maintain security policies using PAN-OS and Panorama .
• Configure advanced features such as:
• Threat prevention
• URL filtering
• SSL decryption
• User-ID
• GlobalProtect VPN
• High availability and redundancy
• Troubleshoot complex firewall and network security issues.

PCNSE certification validates the ability to design, deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto security platforms , including next-generation firewalls.

Cloud Security Implementation

• Implement GCP-native security services , including:
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• VPC Service Controls
• Cloud Armor
• Cloud IDS
• Security Command Center
• Enforce security policies and compliance across cloud environments.

Cloud security engineers must design and manage secure infrastructure while implementing identity controls, network protection, and monitoring mechanisms.

Threat Monitoring & Incident Response

• Monitor network traffic and detect potential threats or anomalies.
• Integrate security solutions with SIEM platforms .
• Participate in incident response and security investigations .
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive controls.

Network Security Operations

• Manage secure connectivity solutions including:
• Site-to-site VPN
• Client VPN
• Private interconnects
• Maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and network segmentation.
• Monitor and optimize network performance and security posture.

Security Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as:
• ISO 27001
• SOC2
• NIST
• CIS benchmarks
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Automate network and security deployments using:
• Terraform
• Ansible
• Cloud Deployment Manager
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years experience in network security engineering
• 3+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform networking and security
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
