Job Description
Lead Android Engineer- Remote
We are seeking a Lead Android Engineer who will lead the design, development, and delivery of key mobile application features for Empower Retirement. This role is fully remote, requires strong technical leadership, and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive architectural improvements and deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced mobile application features and projects.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine, plan, and prioritize requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality development standards.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Enhance the scalability, performance, and architecture of mobile applications.
- Work closely with other teams to debug, test, and improve product functionality.
- Produce clear documentation, maintain clean code, and demonstrate solutions effectively.
- Continuously stay updated with modern mobile technologies and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional experience in native Android and/or iOS development.
- 1+ published native Android and/or iOS applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, and/or Swift.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective leadership, communication, and influencing abilities.
- Experience working in full-stack environments.
Work Model: Remote within the U.S.
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Salary Range: $70,000 $117,000 annually
