Developer (Software / Application / Web)

Role Overview

The Developer is responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet business requirements. They work closely with business analysts, project managers, and quality assurance teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions, following industry best practices and coding standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis & Design
• Understand functional and technical requirements provided by the business or client teams.
• Participate in technical design discussions and propose optimal solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and workflow designs.
• Development & Coding
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using the required programming languages and frameworks.
• Implement integrations with APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
• Follow secure coding practices and comply with organizational standards.
• Testing & Debugging
• Perform unit testing and fix defects before releasing to QA.
• Debug and resolve software issues identified during testing or in production.
• Collaborate with QA teams for integration and regression testing.
• Deployment & Release Management
• Participate in code reviews and peer testing before deployment.
• Support release management teams during production rollouts.
• Monitor and troubleshoot post-deployment issues.
• Maintenance & Support
• Provide ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and bug fixes for existing applications.
• Analyze and optimize application performance.
• Implement patches and upgrades to maintain compatibility and security.
• Documentation
• Maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, and configurations.
• Prepare user manuals or technical guides if required.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX, QA, DevOps, and business analysts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Communicate progress, challenges, and risks proactively.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Knowledge of version control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps tools.
• Experience with frameworks and libraries relevant to the project domain.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–6 years of hands-on development experience (varies by role level).
• Certifications in relevant technologies/frameworks are an added advantage.

1. Backend Developer

Role Summary:

Designs and develops robust server-side logic, APIs, and database interactions for enterprise-grade applications. Ensures high performance, scalability, and security of backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js.
• Integrate with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data security protocols.
• Optimize backend performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

2. Frontend Developer

Role Summary:

Builds dynamic, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces that enhance user experience and align with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop web interfaces using React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Implement responsive and cross-browser compatible designs.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs.
• Ensure performance optimization for fast load times.
• Follow UX/UI best practices for accessibility and usability.

3. Full Stack Developer

Role Summary:

Works across both frontend and backend technologies to deliver complete, end-to-end application solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop frontend UI and backend services in a single project scope.
• Manage application architecture, database design, and integrations.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of full-stack solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the technology stack.
• Coordinate with DevOps teams for deployment and CI/CD pipelines.

4. Mobile App Developer (iOS / Android / Cross-Platform)

Role Summary:

Designs and develops mobile applications that are secure, responsive, and optimized for performance across devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build native apps (Swift, Kotlin) or cross-platform apps (Flutter, React Native).
• Integrate mobile apps with backend services and APIs.
• Implement push notifications, in-app purchases, and offline support.
• Ensure app performance optimization and battery efficiency.
• Publish apps to App Store / Google Play and manage updates.

5. Domain Alignment – Healthcare & Packaging(Optional Add-on for Proposal)

When deployed to healthcare or packaging industry projects, developers will:

• Healthcare: Integrate with EMR/EHR systems, comply with HIPAA/NABH, work on hospital management systems, PACS/DICOM workflows.
• Packaging: Integrate ERP/MES with shop-floor automation, work with IoT-enabled devices, optimize manufacturing data processing systems.
