GENERAL PURPOSE

The Chair Refurbish Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the chair refurbishment program while maintaining accurate inventory control through the Manhattan SCALE Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role combines hands-on technical chair refurbishment expertise with team leadership responsibilities, ensuring all refurbished products meet company quality standards and productivity expectations. The Team Lead will supervise a team of two Chair Repair Technicians, drive operational efficiency, maintain inventory accuracy, manage spare parts inventory, and support the successful execution of refurbishment activities across multiple product lines.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Manhattan SCALE WMS within the chair refurbishment operation.

• Receive and process inventory transactions accurately within the WMS.

• Perform SKU swaps and inventory conversions as required.

• Execute inventory adjustments and maintain accurate inventory records.

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts.

Spare Parts Inventory Management

• Maintain ownership and accountability for spare parts inventory.

• Perform and document weekly cycle counts for financial accuracy.

• Reconcile physical counts with system inventory and investigate variances.

• Track parts consumption used during refurbishment.

• Partner with Finance and Inventory Control on inventory valuation and cost reporting.

Chair Refurbishment Operations

• Perform advanced refurbishment and repair activities on chair products across all business lines.

• Diagnose product defects and determine repair methods.

• Ensure refurbished products meet quality standards.

• Train and mentor team members on refurbishment techniques and best practices.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and supervise two Chair Repair Technicians.

• Assign daily work and prioritize activities.

• Monitor performance against established KPIs.

• Ensure team members meet quality, productivity, and safety expectations.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 2+ years of warehouse, inventory control, refurbishment, manufacturing, or related experience.

• Experience with WMS systems, preferably Manhattan SCALE.

• Strong inventory management and leadership skills.
