This role sits at the core of our venture and AI strategy efforts. You will source and evaluate investments, guide strategic initiatives, and connect insights from the AI ecosystem to executive decision-making. It is both analytical and highly collaborative, requiring strong judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Source and evaluate venture investments across Seed, Series A, and Series B, owning deal flow through diligence and execution
Drive alignment and execution of AI/ML initiatives across the company, including Generative AI and physical AI
Maintain relationships with portfolio companies and ensure alignment with Micron’s investment strategy
Develop executive-level briefings and recommendations for leadership, the Board, and the Investment Committee
Mentor team members and partner cross-functionally with business and technology stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related field and MBA from a Tier 1 university
Experience in venture capital, startups, or senior operating roles, including deal sourcing and investment processes
Strong financial acumen with technical depth in at least one relevant AI or semiconductor-related domain
Experience influencing senior stakeholders and delivering clear, data-backed recommendations
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley venture ecosystem
Background in data center hardware systems and/or data center software
Experience at a Tier 1 consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG)
Domain expertise in areas such as physical AI, autonomous vehicles, manufacturing, or data center systems/software
International education or work experience and exposure to global business environments
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$196,000.00 - $344,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
