Job Description
MicroAutomation is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Junior–Mid Level Systems Administrator to support and maintain client systems, applications, and infrastructure in a dynamic environment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to take full ownership of technical issues from identification through resolution.
The ideal candidate will be technically capable, organized, responsive, and comfortable interfacing with customers, vendors, and leadership at all levels.
This position will be required to commute to a secure Government location and will be deemed on call for onsite support, if needed, at that location with other similar staff outside of normal working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues onsite related to installed systems, applications, and infrastructure
- Track and manage customer issues through a ticketing system, ensuring resolution within established SLA agreements
- Take full ownership of reported customer issues and drive them through to resolution
- Properly escalate unresolved or complex issues to appropriate internal engineering or support teams
- Provide prompt, accurate, and professional communication and feedback to customers
- Document technical knowledge, troubleshooting steps, configurations, and resolutions in notes, manuals, and knowledge base articles
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Interface effectively with all levels of management, vendors, internal departments, and external customers
- Represent the organization with professionalism and maintain a positive influence at all levels
Required Qualifications
- Active Security Clearance
- Security + Certification
- 2–5 years of experience in systems administration or technical support
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and/or Linux environments
- Experience working with ticketing systems and adhering to SLA requirements
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and infrastructure
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple issues simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management

Must have an approved DoD 8570 certification: CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP equivalent to the minimum IAT Level II with CE certifications. The staff member will be required to maintain the needed certification(s).
