Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer (Web3) with a strong background in building modern web applications and scalable backend systems. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Web3 payment infrastructure, including integrating Web3 functionality such as wallet connections, signing flows, and on-chain/off-chain interactions. Mesh is a global company with headquarters in San Francisco, California. This candidate will work closely with the Engineering and Product teams spread across North America, Europe, and India.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and operate production-grade Web3 systems used by real customers and assets at scale.
- Own features end-to-end across frontend, backend, and on-chain components (with depth aligned to your strengths).
- Lead the design and implementation of complex workflows involving wallets, transactions, settlements, and orchestration.
- Partner closely with product, design, and external teams to turn ambiguous requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Improve system reliability, security, and performance across distributed and on-chain components.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering best practices, architecture reviews, and technical direction.
- Influence the roadmap, lead large-scale technical initiatives, and amplify impact across teams.
Who You Are
- 3-6 years of professional experience as a Full-stack Web3 Engineer with production experience across frontend, backend, and on-chain components, comfortable owning systems end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience with Web3 building blocks, such as wallet connectivity/integrations, dApp development, blockchain RPCs and indexing, and/or on-chain/off-chain payment & settlement flows.
- Familiar with DeFi primitives (e.g., DEXs, swaps, lending, trading platforms) and how they work in real systems.
- Experience with some combination of:
- Modern frontend frameworks (e.g., TypeScript, React, Redux)
- Backend services and APIs (e.g., C#, Node.js, Go, Java, or similar)
- Smart contracts and on-chain interactions (e.g., Solidity)
- Bonus: hands-on experience with Solana Anchor programs, SVM smart contracts, or Solana Web3.js.
- Strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle (signing, submission, execution) and a security-first mindset when designing Web3 systems.
- Solid fundamentals in building scalable, reliable, observable distributed systems (monitoring, logging, tracing, performance).
- Frontend-leaning or backend-leaning profiles are welcome, as long as you have shipped Web3-enabled systems in production and want to expand your scope over time.
The annual base salary range for this role is $160,000-$190,000 in San Francisco and New York. The compensation range provided may span multiple career levels and will be narrowed during the interview process based on factors including a candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. For candidates outside of San Francisco and New York, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market and location-based pay band. The base salary range listed excludes commission (if applicable), equity, and benefits. The pay range represents the minimum and maximum target for new-hire compensation. Actual compensation may vary and may be higher or lower depending on individual circumstances.

This is the kind of place where you'll see your work ship fast, make real impact, and be able to point to something and say, "I built that." You'll grow fast, level up your skills, and get a front-row seat to how a high-growth company scales from the inside, with competitive comp, solid benefits, and room to stretch your craft all coming standard. In-Office Expectations

This expectation may vary slightly depending on role, team, and business needs. Certain roles that require closer cross-functional collaboration or operational support may have additional in-office requirements, which will be discussed during the interview process. Our hybrid approach is designed to balance meaningful in-person collaboration, team building, and real-time decision-making with the flexibility to work remotely. We believe this structure supports strong execution while preserving autonomy and focus time.
