About the Opportunity:

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to external clients, helping them strengthen their IT control environments, achieve and maintain compliance (including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR), and navigate complex audit requirements. The work is both hands-on and advisory, combining IT audit execution with client-facing consulting.

You will work across a variety of client environments, primarily in SaaS and cloud-based organizations, and will play a key role in assessing controls, identifying gaps, and supporting remediation efforts. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working at the intersection of audit, consulting, and technology in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute IT audits, risk assessments, and control reviews for external clients
• Evaluate IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, cybersecurity controls, and cloud environments
• Support clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR
• Identify control gaps and provide practical, client-focused remediation recommendations
• Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams
• Prepare clear audit reports, findings, and executive-level summaries for clients
• Manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced consulting environment

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in IT audit, internal audit, risk advisory, or similar roles
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO standards, and GDPR requirements
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM or CISSP considered an asset
• Experience working with SaaS environments, cloud platforms, or consulting/audit firms
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual in English and French
