Production Technician

As a Production Technician, you will support day-to-day operations within your assigned IPT (Integrated Process Team) area to help meet production, quality, safety, delivery, and cost targets. This role plays a key part in ensuring antigen and/or vaccine products are manufactured to the required standards to support customer demand in global markets.

You will work within a regulated manufacturing environment, contributing to compliant product supply, problem solving, documentation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to help ensure the smooth running of the site.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manufacture antigen and/or vaccine products to required standards and according to production schedules

  • Operate equipment and perform tasks in line with Standard Operating Procedures

  • Maintain cleaning, preparation, and sterilisation standards while minimising discards

  • Document work accurately in batch records, worksheets, and logbooks in line with Good Documentation Practice

  • Ensure IPT documentation is completed, reviewed, and compliant to support product release

  • Support Site Quality Council targets and contribute to a zero overdue culture

  • Review, collate, and archive IPT documentation with accuracy and completeness

  • Enter manufacturing data into spreadsheets to support analysis and reporting

  • Maintain area documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, batch records, and worksheets

  • Maintain good housekeeping standards in your area

  • Communicate clearly with IPT and cross-functional teams to support the smooth flow of product, samples, and documentation

  • Provide on-the-job training for other technicians in your assigned areas

  • Build a strong practical understanding of your area to support troubleshooting and process optimisation

  • Anticipate and solve production and operational problems

  • Challenge processes and procedures to identify improvements in quality, safety, and cost

  • Participate in Tier 1 and On-Point problem solving, including 8-Step Problem Solving activities

  • Support local projects, process changes, and documentation updates with cross-functional teams

  • Contribute to larger improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, and implementation

  • Support senior colleagues in larger site projects and safety or quality enablers

  • Contribute to data assessment and analysis to identify opportunities and recommend improvements

What You Must Have

  • Strong team player with excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a regulated manufacturing environment

  • Ability to plan work, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities

  • Sound and logical problem-solving ability

  • Academic background in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or equivalent preferred

  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Laboratory Practice, or ISO requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement
