Job Description
McKesson seeks a Software Developer Intern for Summer 2026 to analyze, design, and develop application solutions in a hybrid work environment in Saint-Laurent, QC.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Analyze small application requests, enhancements, and intake items from business and IT stakeholders
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and solution options
- Design and develop lightweight applications, prototypes, scripts, or automations as appropriate
- Support testing, validation, and documentation of delivered solutions
- Perform impact analysis on existing applications and processes
- Assist with backlog grooming, prioritization, and status reporting
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business teams to ensure solutions meet expectations
About You
What you'll need:
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary program (college or university) in Computer Science, Information Systems/Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable learning new tools and technologies
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to ask questions and seek feedback
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
- Preferred: Familiarity with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of HTML
- Preferred: Exposure to .NET and RPG development
