Hiring Unit: CIRMMT Position Summary: Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for filming and editing the video recordings made for this specific project. These functions are of high complexity and the incumbent performs them using general instruction. Key responsibilities: Organizes individuals for sessions - captures and edits the project event videos. Provides specific audio/video support to clients. Includes setting up of lighting, cameras microphones and props. Creates props, cue lists and documents. Coordinates lighting, sound equipment and cameras as requested. Schedules rooms and/or equipment. Demonstrates use of software. Verifies content and submits records to the client as requested. Maintains work area. The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by an incumbent. For example, incumbents may be asked to perform some elements of Audio/Video Assistant level “A” and/or “B” in addition to the above listed functions Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Advanced knowledge of audio/video or graphic software is required. Capacity to work independently. Advanced knowledge of camera operation. Video editing experience vital. Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
