Job Description
Prof. Sébastien Jodoin is seeking to recruit two research assistants to work part-time during the 2026-2027 academic year.
The research assistants will conduct legal and policy research, collect and analyze data, co-author research publications, provide editing and formatting assistance, and develop materials for policymakers and community members. They may also be invited to participate in, and present research, at conferences and meetings held in Canada or abroad. The research assistants will be assigned to work on an applied research project addressing the diffusion and impact of rights-based climate litigation or the impacts of climate change for people with disabilities in the Montreal metropolitan region (https://www.ouranos.ca/fr/projets-publications/rien-sur-nous-sans-nous).
Hourly rate: 21-23 CAD (depending on prior training and experience)
Qualifications
Required:
• Excellent legal analysis and writing skills, in both English and French
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Strong initiative and sound judgment
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Strong attention to detail
For one position: fluency in French and training and experience in qualitative research methods, particularly coding interviews or other qualitative data, is required.
For the other position: training and experience in quantitative research methods is required.
Assets:
• Knowledge of or prior experience in disability, health, climate adaptation, or environmental justice
• For one position: experience with survey research is an asset.

Le professeur Sébastien Jodoin souhaite recruter deux auxiliaires de recherche pour travailler à temps partiel durant l'année universitaire 2026-2027.
Les auxiliaires de recherche effectueront de la recherche juridique et politique, recueilleront et analyseront des données, coécriront des publications de recherche, fourniront un soutien à la révision et à la mise en forme de documents, et élaboreront du matériel destiné aux décideurs politiques et aux membres de la communauté. Ils pourraient également être invités à participer à des conférences et à des rencontres tenues au Canada ou à l'étranger, et à y présenter leurs travaux de recherche. Les auxiliaires de recherche seront affectés à un projet de recherche appliquée portant sur la diffusion et les répercussions des litiges climatiques fondés sur les droits, ou sur les impacts des changements climatiques pour les personnes en situation de handicap dans la région métropolitaine de Montréal (https://www.ouranos.ca/fr/projets-publications/rien-sur-nous-sans-nous).

Pour l'autre poste : une formation et une expérience en méthodes de recherche systématique ou quantitative sont exigées.

- Connaissance ou expérience préalable dans les domaines du climat, du handicap, de la santé ou de la justice environnementale
- Pour l'un des postes : l’expérience avec l’administration de sondage est un atout.
