Senior Cloud & Backend Engineer (AWS / .NET / Node.js)

Role Overview:

As a Senior Cloud & Backend Engineer at McAfee, you will design, build, test, and deploy high‑performance cloud‑native applications that leverage RESTful services and AWS technologies. You will integrate AI tools into development and testing workflows, create efficient scripts, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and ensure thorough documentation and version control. In this role, you will troubleshoot complex technical issues, collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. You will also bring strong analytical skills, a willingness to quickly learn new technologies, and a commitment to teamwork and ownership.

This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the Role

• You will develop, test, and deploy REST‑based applications while ensuring they meet high performance and quality standards.
• You will work with cloud technologies—preferably AWS—to build cloud‑native solutions and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines.
• You will adopt AI tools during development and testing to enhance productivity, accuracy, and delivery speed.
• You will create effective scripts, analyze data, and maintain thorough documentation and version control for all development work.
• You will troubleshoot and debug complex application issues, driving quick resolutions that support smooth operations.
• You will collaborate closely with your team to provide optimal, scalable solutions and consistently manage your time to meet deadlines.
• You will continuously learn and embrace new technologies to strengthen the products and improve engineering excellence.

About you:

• You should have 9–12 years of experience building web‑based applications using .NET, .NET Core 3.1+, C#, ASP.NET, and Node.js.
• You will apply your strong background in RESTful API development and microservices architecture to design scalable, modern systems.
• You will leverage your expertise with relational and NoSQL databases—such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB—to create efficient data solutions.
• You will utilize your experience deploying and debugging cloud applications, with AWS as the preferred environment.
• You will demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, allowing you to navigate large codebases and visualize end‑to‑end processes.
• You will work within Agile methodologies, contribute to CI/CD processes, and collaborate as a dependable, ownership‑driven team player.
• You will design applications for high availability, low latency, and scalability, showing enthusiasm for understanding requirements and proposing comprehensive, forward‑thinking solutions.
