Description
The Police and Fireman's Retirement and Relief Board shall determine retirement, and disability determinations.
Membership Qualifications:
The board shall be comprised of members and alternatives appointed from among persons who are employees of the District of Columbia.
One member and one or more alternatives from each of the following:
- The District of Columbia Office of Personnel
- The District of Columbia Corporation Counsel
- The District of Columbia Department of Human Services
- The Metropolitan Police Force
- The District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department
Two members, one of whom shall be a physician, appointed from among persons who are not officers or employees of the District of Columbia.
Qualifications: Individuals with professional and life experience as listed above.
