Description
The District of Columbia Retirement Board (DCRB) is an independent agency of the District of Columbia Government. DCRB has the exclusive control and discretion to manage and control the District of Columbia Police Officers and Fire Fighters Retirement Fund and the District of Columbia Teachers Retirement Fund (the Funds). DCRB is also the benefits administrator for the District of Columbia Police Officers and Firefighters Retirement Plan and the District of Columbia Teachers Retirement Plan (the Plans).
Commission membership:
The Board shall consist of 12 members, 3 of whom are appointed by the selected Mayor.
No member of the Board may hold or be a candidate for any elective office in the District of Columbia.
A member of the Board shall not have any personal interest, direct or indirect, except as a participant in a retirement program, in any transaction involving assets of the Funds established by this chapter and shall otherwise comply with the standards of conduct established by subchapter V of this chapter.

Professional work experience in banking, insurance, or the investment industry.
Time commitment:
The Commission has monthly meetings; subcommittees meet as required to complete tasks.
