Job description
Strategic Account Manager / Client Success Manager
Mayer Networks is hiring a Strategic Account Manager / Client Success Manager to own and grow relationships with our existing client base.
This is a key client-facing leadership role. The right person will be responsible for client engagement, account health, agreement renewals, upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and working closely with our operations team to make sure we understand the pulse of every client.
This is not an entry-level sales role. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, excellent follow-through, business maturity, and the ability to lead client conversations with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Own and strengthen relationships with assigned client accounts
- Conduct regular client check-ins, business reviews, and renewal discussions
- Identify opportunities to expand services, improve client outcomes, and increase account value
- Drive agreement renewals and help reduce client churn
- Work directly with operations, service, procurement, and leadership to understand client needs, service trends, and potential concerns
- Monitor client satisfaction, recurring issues, and overall account health
- Help clients understand Mayer Networks’ recommendations, standards, and long-term technology strategy
- Coordinate quotes, proposals, renewals, and service expansion opportunities
- Maintain accurate account notes, opportunities, and client communication history
- Act as a strong internal advocate for the client while also protecting the company’s standards and business model
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in account management, client success, sales, or relationship management
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Confidence leading meetings with business owners, executives, and government leaders
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships without losing detail
- Business-minded approach to technology and service delivery
- Ability to identify revenue opportunities without being pushy or transactional
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and accountability
- Comfortable working closely with technical and operational teams
- MSP, IT services, telecom, software, or B2B services experience preferred

Success in this role means clients feel heard, informed, and professionally managed. It also means Mayer Networks is renewing agreements on time, expanding the right accounts, reducing surprises, and keeping leadership informed on client health.
This role will be measured by client retention, renewal execution, account growth, client engagement, and quality of communication with both clients and internal teams.
Compensation
Base salary range: $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience.
This role also includes performance-based bonus/commission opportunity. Expected total annual compensation is $85,000-$140,000 for strong performance.
