Join us.</span></p></div><h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Job Summary</strong></span></h1> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Senior Software Manufacturing Engineer has a comprehensive scope of responsibilities aimed at enhancing production efficiency, reducing costs, improving quality, and troubleshooting production issues. Working cross-functionally within the company and collaboration with external engineering partners in RFPs, SOWs, and design development is a focus for this role. The Senior Software Manufacturing Engineer bridges software development and hardware production, develops manufacturing tools, scripts, and systems to automate testing, programming, and configuration of our Autonomous Drive Kit. This role will engage teams throughout production process; from supply partners, line-side at the integration plant, ,and post-production service</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">As a Senior with the team, leadership responsibilities include leading PFMEAs, participating in safety review activities, and mentoring junior engineers on relevant best practices.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span></p> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Software Deployment: Develop and maintain software for flashing, testing, and calibrating hardware products during production.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Production Line Support: Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues on the manufacturing line to minimize downtime.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Automation &amp; Tooling: Create scripts and tools to automate testing and data collection for quality control.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Process Improvement: Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to assembly processes.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Validation: Collaborate with hardware teams to validate software functionality during new product introduction (NPI)</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Prepare configuration process and documentation to Assist supply chain with sourcing&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Responsible for efficiency, cost, and quality improvement projects for production</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Develop in-process check procedures, work instructions and tooling requirements.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Solicit and formalize requirements to improve manufacturability and design robustness with internal and external stakeholders</span></li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></span></h1> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><em>Success in this role typically requires the following competencies:</em></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with designing and executing process validations</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proficient with 3D CAD software of mechanical and/or electrical components&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proficient in rapid prototyping, 3-D printing technologies, and basic machining tools</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proficiency writing embedded code in C/C++</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent communication skills and ability to work across functional teams</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Interest and ability to mentor more junior Engineers</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to read electrical schematics and use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to debug embedded software</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Deep understanding of autonomous vehicle hardware and sensor technology</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: Experience</strong></span></h1> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><em>Candidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience:</em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong><em>Required</em></strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or software engineering capacity</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated foundation in data structures and algorithms including the ability to troubleshoot software configured hardware issues</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong background in technical and project leadership</span></li>
