Overview

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure with a primary focus on Windows Server environments and network security infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, and secure connectivity.

This role acts as the second line of escalation for technical issues, working closely with Tier 1 support and senior engineering staff to ensure stability, security, and performance across servers, network infrastructure, and cloud services.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, experience managing Windows-based infrastructure, and working knowledge of enterprise firewalls and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) including installation, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Manage Active Directory, including users, groups, GPOs, domain controllers, and replication troubleshooting.
• Support Microsoft 365 integrations including identity, authentication, and hybrid environments.
• Monitor server performance and availability and proactively resolve issues.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Maintain system backups and recovery procedures.
• Configure and maintain enterprise firewalls and network security appliances.
• Troubleshoot VPN connectivity, routing issues, and network segmentation.
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure including switches, VLANs, and routing policies.
• Implement and maintain firewall policies and access control rules.
• Assist with network monitoring and incident response for security events.
• Support endpoint security platforms and vulnerability remediation.
• Act as Tier 2 escalation for infrastructure, network, and server-related incidents.
• Troubleshoot complex issues escalated from Tier 1 support.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Tier 1 technicians.
• Implement system updates, firmware upgrades, and security patches.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation including: Network diagrams, Firewall policies, Server configurations, Disaster recovery procedures
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and project work.
• Enforce security best practices across servers and network infrastructure.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and security monitoring.
• Support incident response and forensic investigations when required.
• Ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational security policies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or network administration.
• Strong experience managing Windows Server and Azure environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Working knowledge of enterprise firewall platforms.
• Experience supporting virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, networking, and authentication systems.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, VPN technologies
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on user satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with users at all levels.
