The Opportunity
This is a high-impact leadership role within the corporate finance team, offering the opportunity to shape and elevate the accounting function in a dynamic real estate environment.
The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting will lead the integrity of financial reporting, oversee multi-entity consolidations, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards. This role will partner closely with senior leadership, asset management, and investment teams to provide timely, accurate financial information that supports strategic decisions.
You will play a key role in building scalable processes, strengthening internal controls, and driving continuous improvement as the organization grows.
The Candidate Profile
You are an accounting leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented real estate environments where complexity, pace, and accountability intersect. You bring a strong technical foundation, but more importantly, you understand how to translate financial information into meaningful insights that support investment decisions and asset-level performance.
You are comfortable operating across the full spectrum of corporate accounting, from owning the close and managing multi-entity consolidations to navigating the accounting implications of acquisitions, joint ventures, and development projects. You understand the nuances of real estate structures and apply both rigour and sound judgment to the recording and reporting of transactions.
At your core, you are pragmatic, composed, and solutions-oriented. You recognize that in an evolving real estate platform, priorities shift quickly, timelines are tight, and precision is critical. You focus on what is accurate, actionable, and relevant to the business, without getting lost in unnecessary complexity.
As a leader, you set a high bar while remaining hands-on. You build trust with your team by providing clarity, mentorship, and support, while staying close enough to the work to identify risks early and course-correct when needed. You take pride in running a disciplined, dependable accounting function that stakeholders can rely on.
You are confident and credible in your interactions with senior leadership. You can communicate complex accounting matters clearly, challenge assumptions when needed, and provide thoughtful pushback grounded in sound financial principles. You balance collaboration with conviction—and know when each is required.
Above all, you bring a mindset of ownership. You don’t just report on performance, you care deeply about it and take responsibility for getting it right.
