Job Description:
The CI Engineer is the value stream’s primary driver of structured loss elimination and chronic problem solving. The role works across shifts and functions to ensure the team is focused on the highest-impact opportunities and that improvement actions are executed and sustained.
This role supports the Value Stream Manager and Area Managers in building the area strategy, 90-day priorities, daily management systems, and technical capability. The CI Engineer also leads CI Specialists and coordinates technical or contractor resources.
What are we looking for?
Minimum
- 5-7 years’ experience in supply chain
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to coach and lead others
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related industry
- Lean Six Sigma
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Own the area’s top loss-elimination agenda for Waste, TRS, RFT, and downtime performance.
- Lead root cause problem solving for chronic and recurring performance losses.
- Develop and manage the area’s continuous improvement plan.
- Analyze line performance data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement priorities.
- Lead improvement teams focused on downtime reduction, waste reduction, quality improvement, and operational stability.
- Own improvement and implementation if key DMS routines, including 5S, Centerlines, CIL, and Abnormality Handling.
- Develop and improve standards for equipment, processes, troubleshooting, and operating routines.
- Coach Shift Managers, Area Managers, CI Specialists, and associates in technical problem solving and CI methods.
- Coordinate internal resources, contractors, and cross-functional support to execute improvement work.
- Support capital project startup by ensuring standards, capability, and loss-elimination thinking are built in.
- Champion Safety and Quality standards in all improvement activity.
