Job description
Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, Retirement & Wealth, the Director, Business Operations is a trusted advisor to the Retirement & Wealth Leadership Team (RWLT). As a member of the Chief Operating Office (COO) team, the Director, Business Operations is an important catalyst and key contributor to the overall strategy, execution, and transformation of our global franchise.
Position Responsibilities:
Act as a key partner to the GMs/CEOs in executing the strategic, operational and cultural changes needed to deliver near and long-term financial and non-financial targets
Collaborate with the GM/CEOs on routines for executing and developing business and strategic plans
Enable the roll-out of business management frameworks across Wealth and Retirement
Work closely with key stakeholders to support execution and change management efforts around strategy execution and integration with the broader GWAM organization
Coordinate with Strategy and Communications to effectively cascade internal messages
Lead the establishment of operational programs across Retirement & Wealth in partnership with business stakeholders (eg: records management, business continuity, vendor management)
Partner with Strategy team on strategy development and execution
Act as key point of contact with internal Comms resources to establish and execute communication plans across the organization
Identify and manage new and emerging needs within the business and determine how to best resource these needs
Manage the goal setting, progress / performance review and scorecard management process for the GMs/CEOs, working closely with Finance and Strategy
Organize and prioritize critical issues and information to enable timely and effective decision-making by various leadership teams
Identify and drive opportunities to improve processes and procedures and increase leadership team effectiveness and productivity
Manage agenda, coordinate pre-read materials and track action items for leadership team and business review meetings
Coordinate agenda and logistics for leadership team offsites, working closely with Strategy
Act as point of contact between Head of Business Operations/COO and key stakeholders
Lead special projects across the business as needed
Required Qualifications:
Ability to work independently, get to the relevant information and pierce through siloes
Ability to handle difficult situations, deal efficiently with escalation
Strong business acumen and comprehensive knowledge of the Retirement & Wealth operating models
Ability to connect the dots and rapidly identify and surface the relevant patterns and issues
Politically astute, with strong situational sensitivity and ability to influence
Exceptional organization and project management skills
Emotional intelligence, with ability to demonstrate judgment, discretion and diplomacy
Ability to see pressures the leadership team faces in pushing the organization to change and find ways to lessen them
Results-oriented with an ability to multi-task, prioritize across multiple initiatives, drive accountability, and develop creative solutions where blueprints may not exist
Outstanding communication skills with proven ability to articulate complex business problems in simple and impactful words
Ability to develop a clear position / point of view on key questions and issues impacting the business

Salary range is expected to be between
$128,550.00 USD - $222,820.00 USDEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
