Position: R&D Food Scientist (Chinese fluency)

Our client, a leading innovator in the food industry, is seeking a R&D Food Scientist to join their dynamic team. You will be part of the Research & Development department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Chinese/English and demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: R&D Food Scientist

Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ / Hybrid

Pay Range: $50 - $62 hourly

Contract: 1 Year (extension/conversion possible)

What s the Job?

• Lead and coordinate R&D activities to deliver innovative brand programs.
• Represent the R&D perspective in technical discussions across cross-functional teams.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Define technical project briefs and translate brand insights into superior new products.
• Design and execute testing protocols for product development, including prototype and shelf-life testing.

What s Needed?

• Master of Science Degree in Food Science or an equivalent field

.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, both written and oral.
• 7+ years of experience in the food industry, especially in product development or project management

.

• Proficiency in SAP PLM/Minerva and specification creation processes helpful
• Strong formulation expertise in cooking aids and related technologies.
