Job description

Our client, Purolator, is seeking a Linehaul Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Class 1 license and driving experience.

Job Title: Linehaul Driver

Location: Nanaimo, BC

Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:00am - 7:30am (35h/week)

Pay Rate: $37.88/hour

What’s the Job?

Drive to/from customer locations
Safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
Pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements
Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch
Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations
Scans freight upon pickup and delivery
Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer)

3 years of Class 1 driving experience
