Built by hoteliers for hoteliers, M3 empowers hotel owners, operators, and management companies to streamline back-office operations, reduce costs, gain real-time insights, and drive portfolio performance across thousands of properties in North America and beyond.    Description Summary: Under minimal supervision and review by the Accounting Supervisor, the Staff Accountant performs full-cycle accounting functions for multiple hotels on a daily basis, resulting in accurate and timely financial data to the management company’s corporate staff.  Essential Duties:  The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties.  <ul> <li>Monthly accounting functions for multiple entities  </li> <li>Daily bank reconciliation  </li> <li>Review of expense accounts for coding accuracy  </li> <li>Post monthly recurring entries  </li> <li>Compile month end questions for client  </li> <li>Expense prepaids monthly  </li> <li>Review of daily or monthly daily report journal entry  </li> <li>Review of payroll journal entries  </li> <li>Analytical review of income statement and balance sheet  </li> <li>Monthly reconciliation of asset & liability accounts  </li> <li>Preparation & filing of sale, use, & occupancy tax returns  </li> <li>May be responsible for the following:  </li> <li>M3 System Administration duties  </li> <li>Onboarding new entities  </li> <li>Other duties as assigned </li> </ul> Education/Training/Experience:   <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  </li> <li>2+ years of experience in accounting  </li> <li>Experience closing multiple entities at once required  </li> <li>Hospitality experience a plus  </li> <li>Strong competency for customer service in the professional services industry required.  </li> <li>Must have strong written and verbal skills in English.  </li> <li>Experience using Accounting software such as Quick Books, Peachtree Accounting, SAP, Great Plains etc. required, with experience using Accounting Core strongly preferred.  </li> <li>Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)  </li> </ul> Skills & Abilities Required:   <ul> <li>Organized  </li> <li>Attention to detail  </li> <li>Ability to multitask  </li> <li>Deadline oriented  </li> <li>Ability to work with minimal supervision  </li> <li>Basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel  </li> <li>Ability to work in a team environment  </li> <li>Customer service mentality  </li> <li>Strong written & verbal communication skills in English </li> </ul>
