Yardi Senior Property Accountant

The Role

We are seeking a Yardi Senior Property Accountant to join our Accounting Services team. In this role, you will support a variety of real estate clients by delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining accounting records, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. You will work closely with property managers, client stakeholders, and internal Lynx teams to support the financial performance of real estate portfolios.

This position is well suited to someone with strong property accounting experience, a solid understanding of Yardi, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-focused environment. Unlike a traditional property accounting role, this position offers exposure to multiple clients, property types, and business environments. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced accounting and Yardi professionals while supporting a variety of real estate organizations across North America.

Responsibilities

● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

● Complete month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

● Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.

● Perform bank reconciliations, cash management activities, and account analysis.

● Process property tax payments, tax adjustments, and annual CAM reconciliations.

● Review and maintain lease information within Yardi.

● Support construction accounting activities, including Yardi Job Cost.

● Assist with budgeting, forecasting, lender reporting, and audit requests.

● Work closely with property managers, clients, and internal teams to support day-to-day accounting operations.

● Respond to client inquiries and provide financial reporting and analysis as required.

● Utilize Yardi and related tools to maintain accurate accounting records and reporting.

● Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting efficiency, and overall service delivery.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

● Minimum 3 years of property accounting experience.

● Minimum 3 years of Yardi experience.

● Experience with Yardi Job Cost and construction accounting.

● Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

● Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations.

● Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications

● CPA designation, CPA candidate status, or equivalent accounting qualification.

● Experience supporting commercial real estate portfolios.

● Experience with Yardi Construction Manager.

● Experience with Yardi Spreadsheet Reporting.

● Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools.

● Experience working within a consulting, managed services, or outsourced accounting environment.

● Bilingual English and French.

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
