We positively engage with personal and professional development and school improvement. ISP Key Responsibilities 1. As a teacher at Lynn-Rose, you are responsible for all duties assigned to you by the Lower School Principal and Head of School (or designate). These responsibilities include: ● Atmosphere - You enable students to learn in a safe, open, caring, collaborative and inclusive atmosphere ● Shared Ideas - You know and model your school’s values and contribute to its mission and vision through your daily actions. ● A focus on Learners and Learning - You put learners and their learning first. You are an active and valued member of learning communities. ● Learning and Teaching - You empower students to lead their own learning, supporting them to monitor, assess and adjust their learning in response to feedback. ● Evidence of Learning - You gather, document, and analyse evidence of learning from various sources and use this to identify targets and action steps for improving learning. ● Leadership for Learning - You see yourself as a leader for learning and demonstrate the same vision, values, and commitment as school leaders to support students to continuously learn and get better. ● Learning Spaces - You create and use spaces to support and demonstrate the school’s shared ideas about learners and learning and the ways in which students are getting better. ● In Partnership with Parents – You ensure that the individual needs of parents and carers are understood and that they feel informed and involved as valued members of the school’s learning community. ● Improvement Planning - You are committed to learning and getting better and ensure this improvement happens strategically and effectively Details and specific tasks related to the above responsibilities will be shared with you in your contract and during your onboarding process. Skills, Qualifications and Experience ● The successful candidate will possess relevant teaching qualifications and demonstrated experience in an educational setting. ● Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is highly recommended, with International Baccalaureate (IB) training and/or certification strongly preferred. ● Applicants should have proven teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and classroom experience that demonstrates the ability to deliver high-quality instruction and support student success. Pay Range: We anticipate the salary range to be 48,000-52,000 CAD. An individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors which include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
