About the Role

We work with global enterprises to design and build data platforms that power digital products used by millions of users. Our projects involve large-scale datasets, complex distributed pipelines, and real business impact.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our remote team and take ownership of building and scaling data solutions using Databricks on AWS. This is a hands-on senior IC role with strong influence on architecture and implementation.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL / ELT pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and AWS
  • Work with large, complex datasets in production environments
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python and advanced SQL
  • Build pipelines from scratch, not just maintain existing ones
  • Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and data engineering best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Strong, hands-on experience with: Python, SQL (advanced), PySpark, Databricks (production experience required) and AWS
  • Proven experience designing and building end-to-end data pipelines
  • Solid understanding of distributed data processing and data modeling
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

Salary

Salary range: CA$83,000 - CA$153,000 annually, with final compensation determined by your qualifications, expertise, experience, and the role's scope.

Location:

This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.

Position Details

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
