Business Analyst-Reinsurance
Experience: 6-9 years
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Reinsurance domain to support business transformation and system implementation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of reinsurance processes, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements related to reinsurance processes
- Work on facultative and treaty reinsurance (Proportional / Non-Proportional)
- Conduct gap analysis between current and future-state processes
- Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications, and user stories
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement discussions
- Support system implementation, UAT, and defect management
- Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure accurate delivery
- Analyze reinsurance data flows including premium, claims, bordereaux, and settlements
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal governance standards
- Assist in process optimization and automation initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Domain Skills
- Strong experience in Reinsurance domain
- Understanding of:
- Treaty & Facultative Reinsurance
- Proportional (Quota Share, Surplus) & Non-Proportional (XL, Stop Loss)
- Reinsurance lifecycle (placement → accounting → claims → reporting)
- Bordereaux processing & reconciliation
- Exposure to P&C insurance domain is preferred
Business Analysis Skills
- Expertise in:
- Requirement gathering & documentation (BRD, FRD)
- Use cases, user stories, workflows
- Stakeholder management
- Experience in Agile or Waterfall methodologies
