Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to support a busy urgent care clinic in California, Maryland .

This is a true urgent care environment —designed for providers who can operate independently, maintain strong patient flow, and deliver high-quality care across a wide range of presentations.

This role requires

Ability to function as a solo provider during shifts

Comfort seeing

3–4 patients per hour

Strong procedural skills and independent clinical judgment

Candidates without recent urgent care experience will not be considered.

Schedule

Minimum

3 shifts per week required

Clinic open

7 days per week

Typical hours

8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Setting

Standalone urgent care clinic

Practice Environment

High-volume outpatient urgent care

APP operates independently during shifts

Full clinical and front-office support staff

Onsite lab and X-ray capabilities

EMR: Practice Velocity (training provided)

This is a structured, high-efficiency workflow with consistent patient demand.

Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat urgent care patients (ages 2+)

Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries

Interpret labs and X-rays independently

Perform procedures including

Suturing

Incision & drainage (I&D)

Digital blocks

Pelvic exams

Communicate results and follow-up care with patients

Complete and sign all charts before the end of each shift

What We’re Looking For

Active, unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner license

Recent urgent care or outpatient clinic experience required

Candidates must demonstrate

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting

Strong procedural competency

Confidence reading X-rays (extremities and chest)

Efficient documentation and patient throughput

Additional Requirements

Must live within

30–45 miles of California, MD

Availability for minimum 3 shifts per week

Clean malpractice and professional history required
