Systems Engineer - Requirements Management

This position is part of the Rotary and Mission Systems business area, where employees across Canada support engineering, systems integration, training, sustainment and in-service support programs for Canadian and international military customers across land, air and sea.

Specific Job Description:

• Requirements Lifecycle Management – Gather, analyze, and document requirements using industry‑standard tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS))
• Requirements Traceability – Maintain traceability matrices and ensure alignment of requirements with design, test cases, and releases
• Stakeholder Collaboration – Communicate effectively with both technical engineers and non‑technical stakeholders (including project managers, executives, and end users)
• Problem Solving – Identify and resolve complex business and technical challenges in a collaborative team environment
• Process Improvement – Contribute to continuous improvement of our requirements engineering processes and tooling
• Adaptability – Thrive in a fast‑moving environment, responding flexibly to changing priorities and deadlines.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline or an equivalent blend of education and professional experience
• At least two years of professional experience in software engineering, requirements analysis, or a related field
• Demonstrated familiarity with Jira, Confluence, DOORS, ClearCase, ClearQuest, or Windchill (or comparable requirements/traceability tools)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in team‑based settings.
