Lloydminster and District Co-op is currently seeking a Full Time IT Support Administrator.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Service and Technical Support
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, monitor and maintain computer, network, and other devices such as cell phones, CCTV, tablets, etc.
- Maintain and update computers, drivers, servers, software and external peripherals
- Ensure that effective anti-virus and maintenance utilities are installed and working on all Association computers
- Maintain internal file servers for security, stability and restoration
- Maintain e-mail services and ensure backups of same are completed and can be effectively restored
- Maintain helpdesk function, processes and procedures
- Provide technical support, computer training, and advice to staff; assist with orienting new staff
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Provide on-demand support and resolve emergency issues by providing support and problem resolution for computer and network related failures or operational deficiencies. When down-time is experienced outside normal working hours, there may be on-site visits required
- Assist in developing or modifying information technology policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to by staff
- Provide input into technology plans and projects; assist with implementation and provide appropriate reporting during and at the close of assigned projects
- Assist in the research and implementation of local and cloud-based applications, computer systems, hardware, system topologies, servers and software
- Assist in development of adequate controls and reporting processes to meet operational and service requirements
- Upgrade systems by conferring with vendors; development, testing, evaluating and installing enhancements
Technology Infrastructure
- Contribute to the discussion regarding the annual budget for information technology hardware, software and support services for all staff. Assist in computer purchasing discussions and secure equipment for the organization
- Remain current on the technology industry - looking for more efficient and effective ways to manage our computer and networking systems
Inventory Control
- Keep an accurate inventory of computer hardware/software, spare parts, and equipment and maintain assets through the entire life cycle
- Conduct software and hardware audits
- Physically move computers as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
- Demonstrated self-starter will have excellent service, communication, time management, problem solving and technical writing skills
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills that allow handling multiple deadlines and tasks
- Proven troubleshooting ability
- Current knowledge of mobile, hardware, software, network technologies and technological advancements
- Demonstrated ability in designing and maintaining IT systems, servers, computers, networks, databases, applications, cloud services, videoconference, routing, switching and e-mail systems
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems & Microsoft Platform programs.
- Demonstrated professional oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a variety of individuals including colleagues, managers, and external vendors
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of personal information at all times and in accordance with Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, structure, processes, requirements or cultures.

Education and Experience:
3-5 years of prior experience in a similar position, specifically related to information technology and/or network administration.
Experience with FCL IT infrastructure an asset but not required.
Valid and Insurable Class 5 Driver’s license
