Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Reliability Strategy: Define and implement reliability frameworks, SLIs/SLOs, and operational KPIs for ENP services.
• Architect Resilient Systems: Design scalable, fault-tolerant architectures leveraging cloud-native principles and microservices.
• Drive Automation: Champion automation for incident response, remediation workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Observability Leadership: Oversee observability architecture, integrating advanced monitoring and AIOps for predictive insights.
• Mentorship & Governance: Guide junior engineers, enforce technical governance, and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineering, DevOps, and platform teams to embed reliability into development lifecycles.
• On-Call Leadership: Participate in and optimise on-call rotations, ensuring rapid incident resolution and post-mortem improvements.

Technical Expertise

• Cloud & Platform: Azure Cloud, Kubernetes (AKS), and container orchestration.
• Observability Tools: Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk.
• Automation & Scripting: Python, Bash, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates).
• CI/CD & DevOps: Advanced knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
• AIOps & Self-Healing: Experience with AI-driven monitoring and automated remediation.

Preferred Skills

• Proven track record in designing and operating large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and performance optimisation.
• Exposure to leadership roles in reliability engineering or platform architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• Certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or reliability engineering frameworks are highly desirable.
