Senior IAM Engineer - Okta SSO & Entra External ID

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Sr. Engineer with deep expertise in Okta Single Sign-On (SSO), Azure AD B2C , and Microsoft Entra External ID . This role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle capabilities across enterprise and customer-facing applications

Key Responsibilities

Okta SSO / Okta Identity Engine

• Design, configure, and manage Okta SSO integrations using SAML, OIDC, and OAuth 2.0
• Implement Okta Identity Engine (OIE) policies, MFA flows, and app-based conditional access
• Troubleshoot federation, token, and authentication errors using system logs, Okta tools, and developer consoles
• Lead new SSO onboarding projects and ensure secure, scalable integration patterns

Azure AD B2C / Microsoft Entra External ID

• Configure, and maintain Azure AD B2C custom policies, user flows, identity providers, and MFA experiences.
• Support migration efforts from Azure AD B2C to Microsoft Entra External ID, including policy mapping, schema alignment, and testing.
• Implement OAuth/OpenID Connect-based authentication for consumer identity flows.
• Integrate social identity providers (Google, Facebook, Apple, etc.) and external IdPs.
• Ensure branding, UX, and extensibility via custom HTML, JavaScript, API connectors, and identity customizations.

General IAM Responsibilities

• Develop secure authentication and authorization solutions aligned with Zero Trust architecture.
• Support CIAM and enterprise IAM initiatives for both internal and external identities.
• Participate in design reviews, architectural planning, and security assessments.
• Collaborate with application teams, developers, architects, and security teams.
• Maintain technical documentation for SSO setup, identity flows, and operational runbooks.
• Monitor system performance, handle incidents, and drive root-cause analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong proficiency with:

• Okta SSO, Okta Identity Engine
• Azure AD B2C (user flows, custom policies, identity providers)
• Microsoft Entra External ID
• 7+ years of hands-on IAM engineering experience.
• Experience with CIAM + SSO Architecture.
• strong exp in scripting/coding like python or powershell.
• Deep knowledge of authentication protocols: SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect
