US Payroll Specialist, India, Remote Shift Timings: 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST (8 AM to 5 PM EST)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist based in India to manage US payroll and related functions across multiple clients and platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of US payroll processes, compliance, and employee benefits , along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
Process US payrolls (weekly, biweekly, monthly) for multiple clients across various payroll platforms
Review payroll data for accuracy, including earnings, deductions, and federal/state tax withholdings
Maintain employee records and manage payroll-related updates and adjustments
Monitor payroll tax liabilities and support timely US payroll tax filings and payments
Apply for payroll tax accounts (EIN, state registrations) for new clients/entities
Prepare and manage workers’ compensation reporting
Support annual audits and benefit reconciliation processes
Respond to client and employee payroll-related inquiries with a high level of professionalism
5+ years of progressive experience in US payroll management and administration
- Experience working with multiple clients or entities (CA firms, BPOs, or payroll service providers preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of US payroll tax regulations , compliance, and benefit deductions
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as Paychex, Intuit, or similar
