Job Description
As an in-house corporate and commercial counsel, your role will involve handling all real estate contracts, commercial contracts, disputes, litigation, and related advisory work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating various real estate contracts, including interactions with landlords.
- Drafting other legal documents such as LOIs/terms sheets, POA, affidavits, Indemnity Bond, Letter of Authority, Renewal & Termination Letters, and commercial contracts. Discuss these documents with the legal team and internal stakeholders.
- Liaising with internal teams, consultants, and external legal counsels for legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
- Reviewing, analyzing, drafting responses, and liaising with external counsels on litigation, alternative dispute resolution matters, proceedings, and consumer disputes.
- Researching and updating various laws regularly. Providing legal advice to the Company and internal stakeholders on substantive law issues and the impact of new laws and regulations on the business.
- Maintaining a repository of all ongoing matters, including contracts, disputes, litigation, arbitrations, and any other ongoing work.
- Supporting the legal team and assisting with delegated tasks at a team level.
Qualifications required:
- 6-8 years of experience in a similar role after LLB qualification. As an in-house corporate and commercial counsel, your role will involve handling all real estate contracts, commercial contracts, disputes, litigation, and related advisory work.
