About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level IT Database Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience in database management who are eager to expand their skills in SQL, data administration, and IT systems support. You will work closely with senior engineers to maintain, optimize, and secure our database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL databases.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Support backup, recovery, and data security processes.
• Write and optimize simple SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth integration of applications with databases.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide support for database-related service requests and incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational databases.
• Basic knowledge of database administration tasks (backup, restore, indexing, security).
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
• Understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
• Knowledge of database monitoring tools.
• Internship or project experience in database management.
