Job Description
As a Deployment & Remote Support Engineer at Recurrent Software, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end installation, configuration, and commissioning of industrial vision and edge-AI systems at customer sites. Your responsibilities will include:
- **On-Site Deployment:**
- Plan, execute, and document the deployment of industrial camera systems.
- Physically mount cameras, lighting fixtures, brackets, and custom enclosures.
- Install and rack-mount network switches and Power-over-Ethernet injectors.
- Deploy, configure, and validate custom GPU-based edge computing devices.
- Run and terminate Ethernet cabling to industrial standards.
- **System Configuration & Commissioning:**
- Configure IP addressing, VLANs, subnets, and firewall rules on switches and edge devices.
- Set up camera parameters and validate image quality.
- Install, configure, and test application software and AI inference pipelines.
- Perform end-to-end system integration testing.
- Configure remote access and monitoring for ongoing support.
- **Remote Support & Coordination:**
- Conduct video-guided installation sessions with on-ground technicians.
- Prepare detailed deployment runbooks and installation guides.
- Troubleshoot hardware and network issues remotely.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve deployment blockers.
- **Documentation & Continuous Improvement:**
- Maintain comprehensive deployment records.
- Capture field learnings to improve hardware design.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures for recurring patterns.
Qualifications Required:
- 25 years of experience in field deployment, systems integration, or technical support.
- Hands-on experience with industrial cameras and imaging software.
- Practical knowledge of networking and Linux-based systems.
- Experience with edge computing or embedded GPU platforms.
- Ability to read and create basic wiring diagrams.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to travel domestically.
